The 60th anniversary of the friendship of Japan and the Philippines drew quite a crowd last December 4, 2016 at Market Market BGC!
The twelve of over 100 AKB48 members who are set to join the weekend’s festivities are Rena Fukuchi,
Yurina Gyoten, Riona Hamamatsu, Kotone Hitomi, Serika Nagano, Rin Okabe, Nanami Sato, Maria
Shimizu, Karin Shimoaoki, Ayane Takahashi, Hijiri Tanikawa, and Nanase Yoshikawa.
The ‘60 Years of Philippines-Japan Friendship Celebration’ is among a yearlong series of events organized to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Philippines-Japan Friendship and further promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the two countries.
However details such as auditions, local theatre locations, and other information are currently not available.
The fun continued on the second day of the Cool Japan Festival 2015 hed on the 7th and 8th of November 2015, at the at the Activity Center of Trinoma in Quezon City!
The event featured top Japanese idol group AKB48’s Team 8, traditional Japanese drum troupe Tokoro Taiko, Japanese-style Filipino idol group Kawaii5, and top Filipino cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao.
