Multimedia artist and cosplayer Jin Joson (aka Nejin) has bagged the Artiste category award for the inaugural Globe T@ttoo Awards for social media. The awards show was held last Friday — 26 August 2011, at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Manila Peninsula.

Edging out her nearest competitor on the strength of her online vote tally (LOL what can I say, we anime and cosplay fans live mostly on the internet ^^;;;;;), Jin personifies the creativity, passion, and vision of the Philippine cosplay community. Congratulations Jin — you truly deserved to win!

T@ttoo is Globe Telecom’s high-speed nomadic broadband service; with the T@tt Awards, the company recognizes the major movers of the Philippine online social media community.

Other winners include Ms. Lea Salonga for the Ball Breaker category for her no-holds-barred opinions on topics such as the RH Bill and Women’s Rights, Mikey Bustos for the Video Slinger category for his hilarious series of tutorials on living like a Filipino, and Up Dharma Down for the (self-explanatory) Indie Rocker category.
