Fangirls, hang on to your underpants: Supernatural will be receiving a full anime treatment come 2011.

The hit show — now on its sixth season, follows the journey of brothers Sam and Dean Winchester as they travel the continental United States hunting malevolent spirits and their ilk.

Dubbed “Supernatural The Animation”, the new show is the latest in a series of Warner Brothers film and television properties which have been given the Japanese anime spin.
