Announced today 15th July 2015 at 12NN JST (11AM PST) via livestream, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans (機動戦士ガンダム鉄血のオルフェンズ; Kidou Senshi Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans) will begin airing in Japan starting 4th October 2015 on MBS/TBS and its 23 affiliated domestic stations. The new show will be directed by Nagai Tatsuyuki, with screenplay by Okada Mari.

Both Nagai and Okasa are best known for their involvement in the hit anime series Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (あの日見た花の名前を僕達はまだ知らない; Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai) and A Certain Scientific Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲レールガン; Toaru Kagaku no Railgun).
