J-pop and anisong fans — this is what you’ve been waiting for! PSICOM’s leading otaku lifestyle magazine, Otaku Asia will be hosting its first O-kun Fiesta! O-kun Fiesta 2015 is slated for May 16 at Function Room 1 SMX Convention Center Pasay features a number of competitions — including a Karaoke Contest!

O-Kun Fiesta’s Karaoke Contest invites all J-pop and anisong fans — whether solo, duo, or group, to battle it our for the coveted title. Only 10 competitors will be accepted, so make sure you register on or before 12:00 NN on the event day to qualify.

O-Kun Fiesta Karaoke Contest Rules

— Open to all ages male and female, duo or group.
– Registration will be onsite. Registration booth is located at the right side of the function room upon entrance. Only 10 contestants with all the requirements will be accepted.
– Registration will be from 10am-12nn only.
– Contestants must provide their own minus one of the song on the contest proper.
– Audio must be .mp3 format only.
– Contestants must submit their minus one at the sound booth upon registration.
– Contestants must be already at the right side of the stage, 30 minutes before the competition starts.
– Accepted genres include but are not limited to: j-pop, j-rock, theme music (films, anime, drama, etc), game music. O-kun Fiesta reserves the right to turn down applications based on the chosen song.
– The music must not exceed 5 minutes or else deduction will be given.
– Contestants may request additional effects such as a projected image on the projector or backup dancers.

Criteria for Judging

–Vocal Ability: 40%
– Stage Presence: 30%
– Memorization of Japanese Lyrics: 20%
– Audience Impact: 10%
