The Japan Foundation Manila (JFM) is inviting Japanese learners and language enthusiasts to the 41st Nihongo Speech Contest — to be held on 22 February 2014 (Saturday). The venue will be announced on a later date.

The 41st Nihongo Speech Contest is part if the 9th Nihongo Fiesta, which will also feature the Nihongo Quiz Bee, and lots more activities centered on Japanese culture.

The Champion and the Outstanding Performance Awardee will both take part in an all-expense-paid week-long study tour in Japan; all qualified contestants will receive consolation prizes.

The deadline for submission of the duly accomplished application form with a written copy and a recording of the speech (time limit: 5 minutes or less) will be on 22 January 2014 (Wedenesday) for Luzon/NCR applicants. Pre-screening is scheduled 1 February 2014 (Saturday) at the JFM office in Makati City.
