Via ANN: Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine has announced that two new Rurouni Kenshin films are in production for summer 2014. Satou Takeru will once again play Himura Kenshin, and Takei Emi is reprising her role as Kamiya Kaoru.

In 2012 local theatre chain SM Cinemas ran the first film adaptation in a variety of locations for the better part of December. Although estimates vary on how much the movie earned in its Philippine run, it’s safe to say that it was a massive success.
