World Cosplay Summit (WCS) organizer TV Aichi has announced that the Philippines has been granted Observer status in the prestigious annual international competition.

Although not yet a full-fledged competitor, the Philippines now has the chance to see first-hand what it takes to participate in the WCS.

Local organization Anime Allianceis the official rights holder of the WCS in the Philippines. The organization is best known for managing cosplay events for Hero TV (Hero Face-off) and Primetrade Asia (The Best of Anime).
