JFM Issues Call for Entries to Kakehashi: Two Cultures, One Perspective

The Japan Foundation Manila is inviting all amateur and professional photographers to submit entries to their contest entitled KAKEHASHI 「架け橋」: Two Cultures, One Perspective.

Original photographs that have not been previously published will be accepted as valid entries. Photographs previously submitted to other competitions will not be accepted. The Japan Foundation Manila reserves the right to disqualify entries that are illegal, indecent, or otherwise unacceptable.

Participants must send their entry/entries with the following details:

Contact Number

Entries should be submitted by email attachment or through storage media such as CDs or USB thumbdrives to the JFM office not later than 30 September 2011 (Friday). All data submitted to the contest via the internet, including image data and personal information, will be managed by JFM.

Submitted images will be considered as the exclusive property of the JFM. Submission of the entry by a participant authorizes the JFM to use, reproduce, and distribute his/her photos in publications for the JFM, and the right to use his/her name when giving credit to the photographer.

Submission: Contestants may submit multiple entries.
Maximum size per entry: 10MB (with a resolution of at least 300dpi)
Valid file format: JPEG ONLY
Color: Color and black-and-white images are acceptable.
Editing: Images that have been cropped, resized, and color-corrected are acceptable.

The Grand Prize winner will receive Php 3,000 in cash, along with his/her entry being published as the cover photo of SUKI. Consolation prizes will be awarded to the 2nd and 3rd prize winners. Three winners will be announced via the JFM website and our Facebook page in early October 2011. The winners will also be notified directly by the JFM.
