Here’s a quick rundown of some of the events at next weekend’s Singapore Toy, Game, and Comic Convention!
Simone Legno’s tokidoki line will be teaming up with SingPost to release a set of limited edition 3D figurines and tokidoki MyStamp sheets. These event exclusives will feature Zip and Cody, who have been specially-designed for SingPost! Legno will also be meeting fans and signing autographs at STGCC.
Andrew Bell — creator of the Android figure in association with Google, will be meeting fans and signing autographs at STGCC. Bell has recently won the Designer Toys Awards Awards for “Fan Favourite” for his quirky, customizable Android figures at San Diego Comic Con 2011.
VOCALOID deejay unit Zaneeds are scheduled for their first ever VOCALOID night in Southeast Asia at STGCC, while Kipi — one of the top cosplayers in Japan and worldwide, will be meeting fans and judging the Cosplay@STGCC Competition.
For die-hard Disney fans, there will be a special advanced screening of the Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across The 2nd Dimension. Join Phineas, Ferb, and Perry in their adventures in another world. The screening is on 21st August — which also Kids’ Day, so children aged twelve and below get in for free!
Gaming fans won’t be left out with the launching of the Southeast Asia version of the fantasy MMO Action-RPG Dragon Nest. The Dragon Nest booth will feature on-site demos, account sign-ups, and exclusive Dragon Nest merchandise.
The Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention is one of the biggest pop culture events in South East Asia. STGCC will be taking place at the Suntec City Convention Center from the 20th to the 21st of August 2011.
