And now for something I think the guys will lose sleep over: ever fancy giving Japanese AV talent Maria Ozawa a hug and then some? Then start wiping away your tears (and snot) as the internationally-infamous star of New Face Number One Style gave out hugs at the opening of this year’s 13th Hong Kong Anime, Comic, and Games Fair.

The “Hug-hug Gathering” — held last 29th July 2011, was a publicity stunt organized by online game publisher Gameone Group. Giving out hugs alongside Ozawa were Taiwanese model Yaoyao and rising Hong Kong model Ah Tan.

A lucrative spokesmodel contract was on the line for the lady who gave out the most hugs during the event’s one-hour time limit. This marked the second year Gameone organized “Hug-hug Gathering”, and judging from the buzz it generated it will not be the last.

Maria Ozawa — also known as Miyabi, is a Japanese AV talent who transitioned to mainstream media with music video, television, and film appearances. She also starred (as herself) in two Indonesian comedy movies that earned the ire of the nation’s right-wing Islamic Defenders Front. Ozawa has also been referenced in a popular statement tee by local shop The T-Shirt Project.
