2011 J-Pop Anime Singing Contest Mini Manga Making Contest

Torara — the J-Pop Anime Singing Contests’ cute mascot, wants you to make him the star of your short manga, and win lots of prizes at stake with the 2011 J-Pop Anime Singing Contest Mini Manga Making Contest!

The contest is open to all amateur artists aged 13 to 30, who have not previously published any mange illustrations or comics in books, newspapers, magazines and other publications.

Contestants must hand-draw a short, black and white comic featuring Torara as one of the main characters. The comic may be in Japanese, English, or Filipino.

The finished plates and an accomplished application form must be personally delivered or sent via courier to the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC), Emassy of Japan, 2627 Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

Application forms are available at the JICC Library, and can also be downloaded from the Embassy of Japan website. The deadline for the submission on May 20, 2011.

Winners will receive exciting prize packages from Animation International Licensing Philippines. The finalists works will also be put on display at the 2011 J-Pop Anime Singing Contest Grand Finals to be held at the SM Megamall Event Center on 23 July 2011.

    1. there is no announcement so far if a visayas and a davao leg will be held.

      also, please refrain from typing in all caps; on the internet it is like screaming.
