It’s nearly October, which means that it’s my birthday and the site’s birthday soon!
To celebrate its fourth year, we’ll be giving away a PhP 1000 voucher for our favorite restaurant in Little Tokyo — Hana! The shop has recently undergone a menu change and price roll-back, making it a great place to grab authentic Japanese food.
Hana is known on and offline for being one of the best places in Manila to get takoyaki. My favorite item on the menu however is their cubic beef steak — tender and juicy and so, so good. We also like their tori karaage, spicy tuna maki, and pork shogayaki.
Get the chance to sample authentic, delicious Japanese dishes from Hana for yourselves with our Birthday Contest. To join, simply answer the following question: “What is your favorite Japanese dish? Give only one.”
Leaving a comment on this post with your answer will net you one raffle entry.
Creating an entry in your blog with your answer plus a link back to this post nets you three raffle entries. Leave a trackback or a comment in this post with your post’s URL / permalink to validate your entry.
Answer the question on any of your your favorite SNS and include a link back to this post, Then, post the share links or screengrabs in the comments box to validate your entries; each SNS share link counts as one entry.
Entries will be accepted from 24th September to 8th October 2010 at 23:59 +8 GMT. One winner will be picked through a list randomizer at RANDOM.ORG on 9th October 2010 at 23:59 +8 GMT. Contestants are required to supply a valid email address when they submit their entries in the comments section, as winners will be notified by e-mail.
If I have not received any communication from the winner up to five working days since I have contacted them about their prize, I will consider their winnings forfeited and will select a new winner from the other submissions. This contest is limited to residents of Metro Manila and nearby provinces of Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite. Contest rules are subject to change without prior notice. Feel free to contact me for any queries or clarifications.
Thank you very much to Hana and the S. Family for making this giveaway possible.

Happy Birthday! Feed me.

It’s very simple but my favorite is wakame onigiri from Lawson’s. It has to be from there and nowhere else. Believe me I’ve compared the whole lot and theirs is still the best.

Hnnnn…I’m definitely missing the Mixed Kamameshi Rice from Kamameshi House (circa 80s/90s). So that would be my answer today.

I would say salmon sashimi, but let’s face it, that’s just sliced fish. I love a lot of Japanese food, but it’s the plain ‘ol miso soup that gets me every time.
