Nissin Releases Gunpla Chili Tomato Cup Noodles

Nissin Gunpla Chili Tomato Cup Noodles

Nissin Cup Noodles — staple food of anime fans and office drones the world over, will be releasing a limited run of its Chili Tomato variant packed with miniature Gunpla kits.

The Nissin and Gundam tie-up was organized in time for the 30th anniversary of the iconic anime series and toy line. The tie-up is also notable because Nissin rarely gives out freebies with its super-popular cup noodles.

The cup noodle variants featured in the tie-up include Chili Tomato, Chili Tomato with Cheese, and the 3x Chili Tomato — which is thrice as spicy as the regular Chili Tomato Cup Noodle.

The three miniature kits will all be of mobile suits piloted by Char Aznable, the charismatic villain of the very first Gundam series. They include a MS-06 Zaku II, a MS-14 Gelgoog, and a MSM-07 Z’Gok.

Each cup will retail for JPY 600; packs of six (with two of each variant) are also available from the Nissin Cup Noodles online store.

Thanks to Yue for the heads-up.

Not really interested in the gundams, but that 3x Chili Tomato sounds mighty tasty. 😛
