He’s as cute as Doraemon and has as much sass as Garfield — but what he doesn’t have yet is a name! Give the cuddly rock star mascot from Jpop Anime Singing Contest a kick ass name and take home a fabulous gift pack from the Japan Embassy of Manila!

It’s so easy to join! Just e-mail your name suggestions to: jicc-mnl@ma.mofa.go.jp. Put “Name Neko-kun Contest” in the subject line of your email and write down your full name and address in the body of the email. The deadline for the submission of entries for the contest is on July 9, 2010.

Only one name suggestion will be allowed for each contest participant, and the name suggested must be original and not bear close likeness to a name of a licensed manga or anime character or trademark.

Winners of the contest will be notified via e-mail and will be awarded at the J-Pop Anime Singing Contest Grand Finals to be held at the Cyberzone Event Center, SM North EDSA on 24th July 2010.Winners will receive Doraemon items from Animation International Licensing, one of the event partners for the Jpop Anime Singing Contest.
