Personalize Your Personal Electronics with Seal Craft

With my heart broken to a million little pieces by the new Hatsune Miku PSP bundle, I decided to bite the bullet and finally get my old laptop 2KTAN decal-ed. As you can see on the “before” photos on the left, she’s been bruised, battered, and clawed by me, my cats, and an indeterminable number of airport security personnel. She still works fine and there was no overwhelming desire to get her replaced, so I figured that all she needed was a MIKU MIKU makeover.

Enter Seal Craft. Seal Craft is a “gadget salon” that specializes in protecting the existing finish or renewing the current appearance of your personal electronics. I found the shop after an exhaustive Google search, where I ran into fellow gadget geeks who were disappointed with the level of service and/or prices of the popular mall-based decal outlets. Seal Craft, however, came highly recommended — with owner/technician Terch getting glowing reviews for the quality of work and competitive prices he offered.

Seal Craft offers transparent protective film, color decals, and custom printed decals (although right now their seal printer is getting fixed so they can’t offer custom prints until further notice) for laptops, mobile phones, iPods, NDS, and PSPs. You can browse their collection at their online shop, or e-mail Terch for specifics. Once you come to an agreement, you can simple drop by the shop at 104 Rizal Avenue Extension, Caloocan City — between 2nd and 3rd Street, along the LRT1 line (MAP).

I got mine decal-ed with the aqua glitter plus an additional coat of protective film on both the top panel and the keyboard panel. Cuts were very carefully made to ensure that the laptop’s moving parts were not hampered by the film. Lastly, the film was heat-treated to assure an even and durable application to the laptop body. I was very satisfied with the result, and have been encouraging friends to try out his service for themselves.

Itching to try a new look on your beloved gadgets? Seal Craft may have just the thing for you!

Now I’m thinking if I should have my Omnia personalized. I hate seeing the hairlines on the silver area of the phone. ~_~

  2. if you have it sealed with the protective transparent film i think it’ll help disguise the scratches, much like the way a clear coat of nail polish gets rid of scratches on watch faces ๐Ÿ™‚
