The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Japan Foundation, and the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, are proud to announce a call for entries to the 4th International Manga Awards.
The International Manga Award was established in 2006, with the encouragement of then Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Aso, to enhance the understanding of Japanese culture among non-Japanese manga artists. All talented Filipino artists who specialize in or are heavily influenced by the style and aesthetic of Japanese manga are invited to submit entries to the 2010 competition.
Previous winners of the International Manga Awards from the Philippines include Elmer Damaso and Jhomar Soriano whose individual works were selected as Finalists in 2007’s 1st International Manga Awards, and Bronze Prize winner Kriss Sison from 2008’s 2nd International Manga Awards.
This year’s Gold Prize winner and three Silver Prize winners be will invited to a ten-day all-expenses-paid visit to Japan to attend the awarding ceremony and meet with Japanese manga artists and publishing executives. Bronze Prize Winners and Special Awards winners will receive Special Citations and gifts from the organizers and sponsors.
To join, simply fill out this entry form and submit two copies of your original manga. The manga should be at least twenty four (24) pages long when printed and bound. Both published and unpublished works are accepted as long as they have been produced in the past three years, and have not won any of the previous International Manga Awards.
Entries must be received on or before the 31st of May 2010, at the Embassy of Japan, 2627 Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City (MAP). For a complete list of rules and other details, you can visit the website of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, or the International Manga Awards website.

i’m not sure because the competition rules specify binding. try having it ring-bound at national bookstore or any copy center near you — they can finish it in under an hour.
