After the overwhelming success of Anime Festival Asia 08, South East Asia’s biggest convention is poised to take it to the next level! This year’s Special Guests include Otaku Idol Nakagawa Shoko (Shokotan), JAM Project Superstar Fukuyama Yoshiki, Japanese Cosplayer Extraordinaire Kaname, and Storm Trooper-slash-Otaku Icon Danny Choo.
AFA09 also marks the triumphant return to Singapore of The King of Anisong Mizuki Ichiro, and Galaxy Fairy MAY’N.
AFA09 will also play host to the first ever Regional Cosplay Championship in Asia. Cosplay teams representing Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and other South East Asian nations will be sponsored by the organizers of AFA09 to compete in the Grand Finals at Suntec City, Singapore.
The competition performances will be judged by a panel of distinguished guests from Japan including internationally renowned cosplayer Kaname.
AFA09 will be held on the 21st and 22nd of November at Singapore’s Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Halls 403 – 404). AFA09 is organized jointly by I-Promo Events & Marketing, SOZO and Dentsu Singapore, and is proudly sponsored by Bandai. Animax Asia is the official regional media partner.
