After receiving over eighty entries, the Japan Information and Culture Center is proud to announce the finalists for the J-pop Anime Singing Competition. These groups will be performing at the Grand Finals on the 25th July 2009 at the Market! Market! Activity Center (MAP).
The ten finalists are (in alphabetical order):
B-612 (Quezon City)
BAGE (Valenzuela City)
HIKARI (Apalit, Pampanga)
MORNING STAR (Davao City)
MUCHOS PUERCOS (Las Piñas City)
NEWTONE (Paranaque City)
RYUUSEI (San Pedro, Laguna)
SAKURA BEAT (Makati City)
SOS BRIGADE (Makati City)
WHAT IS?! (Manila)
The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines and The Japan Foundation Manila will be holding the first ever J-pop Anime Singing Competition, to celebrate the 2009 Philippines-Japan Friendship Month. This event has been organized with the cooperation of HERO TV, Toei Animation Philippines, 103.5 MAX FX, Ayala Malls Market! Market!, and the Nihongo Center Foundation.
