AFA Creators Super Fest Returns to Singapore this 27 and 28 July 2024!

 This July will be a visual feast for fans of popular culture and art as SOZO, the Singapore-based founders of Anime Festival Asia – the largest Anime, Comics and Games (ACG) event in Southeast Asia, announces the return of AFA Creators Super Fest (AFA CSF) to Singapore on 27 and 28 July 2024 at Singapore Expo Hall 3. 

AFA CSF Singapore is a community-focused festival where established creators come together to exchange insights, share their experiences, and inspire budding creators. Step into a world where your passions come to life!

Leading the festival’s celebration is  AFA Mascot “Seika”, reimagined in collaboration with Dishwasher1910 – a renowned character designer for popular mobile games such as Azur Lane!

Key highlights of the power-packed line-up at AFA CSF Singapore  2024 include returning favourites as well as a new segment on Fashion:

  • Arts: Featuring renowned guest illustrators, informative talk shows, live drawing sessions, a Creators Market, art competitions, showcases of works by talented artists, workshops, and more.
  • Cosplay: Featuring a diverse range of activities, including special guest cosplayers, talk shows, meet and greet opportunities, merchandise offerings, and cosplay competitions.
  • Music: On our always-popular Super Akiba Stage, check out hot performances from vocalists, dance groups, and DJs! Music creators can also learn from the best in the Singapore music industry.
  • Fashion: We’re opening up a new zone dedicated to up-and-coming fashion lines and accessories ateliers! Whether your aesthetic is alt, vintage, or kawaii – there’s a little something for everyone at the new Fashion Hub!

Fans will get to meet an international lineup of guest content creators from countries including Japan. 

  • Idol and Voice Actor Sally Amaki of 22/7 (Japan): Sally Amaki is a member of the digital idol and voice actors’ project “22/7”, produced by Yasushi Akimoto. Her main voice acting credits include the TV anime “22/7” (Sakura Fujima), “Tomo-chan Is a Girl!” (Carol Olston), “World Dai Star” (Kathrina Griebel), “Bocchi the Rock!” (Eliza Shimizu), the film “Pandora and Akubi” (Akubi), and the game “Magia Records: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Gaiden” (Ashley Taylor), plus many more. In addition to her native English, she is fluent in Spanish and Japanese. She is active as an idol, voice actress, and YouTuber.
  • Cosplayer Non (Japan): Non is an internationally renowned cosplayer from Japan, famous for portraying characters from Anime, Games, Gyaru culture, Egyptian mythology and other original concepts. She works closely with various illustrators and businesses to bring their designs to life in unique collaborations for fashion design, plastic models and figurines.
  • Idol Group DEAR KISS (Japan): DEAR KISS is a dance and vocal girls’ group from Japan who have gained international popularity. They have been participating in many events in the region to bring Japanese idol culture to fans in Singapore, Indonesia, and more!
  • Idol Group Happy End Story (Japan): Debuted on January 29, 2024. The concept of this idol group is “a story that someone can relate to” and expresses “a story that exists in the world” through song and dance.

Creators Lab is a dedicated platform for artistic talents to share knowledge through a series of curated seminars, workshops and hands-on demonstrations. Sessions and speakers include: 

  • Character Designer Dishwasher1910 (Vietnam):  A renowned character designer for some of the most popular mobile games and now AFA Creators Super Fest Singapore. As a previous Selected Creator at CSF SG 2023, he will be sharing his knowledge on character designing for the gaming industry.
  • Street Artist DPLMT (Singapore): DPLMT is a collective of artists/graphic designers with a passion for mural art, street art, illustration and branding. Over the course of AFA CSF, their artists will complete a mural in their unique style as well as speak on their collaboration with STB and Night Safari for Tsuburaya’s Ultraman which commemorated Singapore’s 55 years of bilateral ties with Japan.
  • Game Designer Ein Lee (Taiwan): Character designer for hit web series RWBY, and creator of TEVI game developed in Taiwan. Ein Lee will discuss how the concept was brought to life in this cross-cultural anime game experience.
