Relive the wonder of the Natsu Matsuri as Hinomoto brings back the bright lights, dazzling performances, more scrumptious food, and more fun games of the Japanese Summer Festival to the Ateneo campus grounds. Everybody is invited to join this radiant event to participate and enrich this experience as we welcome summer with a blast!
Natsu Matsuri: A Japanese Summer Festival 2017 is slated for the 31st of March 2017 at the Ateneo de Manila University. Festivities start at 6:00 PM nd will end at 11:00 PM.
Natsu Matsuri (夏祭り) translates to “summer festival” in Japanese and was first celebrated in honor of the people’s ancestors. Later on, the festival was held as a way to relieve the people of fatigue from working in the hot summer. On the night of the festival, the grounds will be the best place to kick off the summer as you wear a yukata with your friends, while munching on some tasty okonomiyaki and playing some invigorating games.
Musical performances prepared by the members and special guests are a sight to see as one cools down with the food from the stalls on the festival grounds.
