Second of all, we also won a three-day, two-night hotel stay at a four-star hotel in Kyoto plus shinkansen tickets between Tokyo and Kyoto, so that’s even more money saved. That meant that we could afford taking one more trip, just for fun!

Like our previous trip, our point of entry was Chubu International Airport in Nagoya. Nagoya has proven time and again to have the cheapest direct flights from Manila. Last Christmas it was PhP 13K per person; this spring it was a miniscule PhP 10K per person.

Even our hotel accommodations in Nagoya were cheap! we managed to snag a room at the Meitetsu Ekimae Hotel for just PhP 1,500 for two — with breakfast! It was only for an overnight stay, but if we didn’t have plans in Tokyo we would definitely have stayed longer.

BTW, why the hell does Japan have green Coke?!?!??!!
