I wanna make it very clear that if if you don’t love DAISO, we can’t be friends. DAISO JAPAN is the authorized Philippine retailer of Daiso Industries Co. Ltd., who popularized the concept of the hyakuen — the 100 yen store. They now dot most Japanese cities and even have stores overseas — supplying affordable home and living products from pots and pans to make-up and skin care. I love it like a crazy person and drop by almost every week!
DAISO JAPAN here in the Philippines carry those products and more — including household goods to hobby materials, kawaii stationery and office supplies, pet supplies and accessories, plastic storage and organizers, beauty and fashion apparel, even snack foods and drinks!
DAISO JAPAN is also the perfect place to pick up Kris Kringle presents and gifts for your friends, class mates, office mates, and other special people this holiday season. They literally have everything from A to Z, and we had a blast looking through their shelves for items from our Kris Kringle list.
Something kawaii
Forget that fake Hello Kitty crap you get on random street corners, DAISO JAPAN brings you authentic Sanrio products at a fraction of import shop prices. Check out this Little Twin Stars hand mirror and matchign comb — each item is squeal-inducing cute, and at just PhP 88 each will definitely not make your wallet scream out in suffering.
Something that starts with the letter D (for DAISO!)
These diffusers bring fragrance and serenity to any home — something you definitely need with the frenetic holiday season. Available in a myriad of scents, we picked our two favorites: lavender and green tea. Their fragrance lasts quite a while, and at PhP 88 each are super affordable compared to aerosol can scents or even potpourri.
Something from your childhood
Hello Panda! Need we say more? These delicious chocolate cream-filled treats are a reminder of Saturdays spent catching up on cartoons and playing in the street. And at two boxes for PhP 88 on not just Hello Panda but other Meiji chocolates and snacks, this is a sweet deal no one can resist!
Something to pamper yourself with
Cold weather always wreaks havoc with my skin, so to pamper myself and my besties, I picked up a couple of DAISO’s signature hand creams. Featuring premium ingredients like CoQ10 and Hyaluronic Acid — usually found in more expensive brands, these little tubes bring you a quick pick me up in between office work and house chores.
Something you can use for an entire year
Almost everyone I know lusts after coffee shop planners or worse — those expensive little notebooks supposedly used by Hemingway and Van Gogh. It’s a good thing I found an excellent and affordable alternative at DAISO. These elastic notebooks are not just practical, they are also a lot of fun — in bright colors that will liven up anyone’s day.
If you’re a Christmas shopping procrastinator, here’s your chance to finish up on your shopping in one go! Head on over to your nearest DAISO branch (check out the list below!) and score some major deals from the #1 name in Japanese discount shopping. Maybe I’ll even run into you there (you can usually find me in the washi tape section). Happy holidays to everyone from us and from DAISO JAPAN!

Thanks so much to Ms. Melanie and the Daiso Japan team.
I love that they put up a store in Glorietta!!! I wish they’d think about a branch in ATC, too!
