Via Crunchyroll: the film adaptation of Yoneda Kou’s seminal BL manga Doushitemo Furetakunai (「どうしても触れたくない」, or “I am very afraid to touch”) has just released its first trailer.
Starring Yonehara Kousuke and Taniguchi Masashi, the story revolves around a new employee who was trapped with his drunk boss in an elevator, and everything is downhill from there.
I just bought and read the manga a couple of months ago and I’ve already forgotten what it’s about. It wasn’t bad (actually quite good) but it was ultimately forgettable. I couldn’t buy the premise of the main conflict.
It bothers me how a lot of popular BL manga in Japan (usually with more realistic themes) fail to strike a chord with me at all: titles like Sotsugyousei, Smells Like Green Spirit, and Doushitemo Furetakunai. The rave reviews are polar opposites to my MEH reaction. Any recs?
