Anime Festival Asia 2012 Day 0 Media Preview and T.M. Revolution Concert Event Report

Anime Festival Asia 2012 Day 0 Media Preview and T.M. Revolution Concert Event Report Having flown in in the wee hours of the morning (as opposed to our usual 9AM), we had plenty of time to make it to Singapore Expo and browse the aisles of AFA 2012 before the official start of the convention.

However the media preview was not meant to be, as we were still waiting to be escorted in, and the TMR concert was about to start. So we ditched the preview (sorry guys!) and made our way to the concert queue as quickly as we could; we found our seats with just a few minutes to spare.

We were on the very back row of the stand, and that was just fine by use because that meant that we could bump and grind at the top aisle without bothering anyone else. Turned out, most of the people on our row moved up to the top aisle, and we all had a very very good time.

TM Revolution opened his concert in grand style, singing his hits from Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny, Sengoku Basara, and Bleach. However, the surprise of the evening came during the first encore, when he sang the iconic Heart of Sword from Rurouni Kenshin.

CHASE / THE THRILL

It was a great gig — even if I didn’t know most of his new songs (oldbie!). And I had a lot of fun, even if the crowd was a little different from what I’m used to at Japanese concerts (dude sitting in front of me — were you seriously sitting down in the middle of a TMR concert?! SRSLY?!). Still, that’s one thing off the bucket list, and I highly recommend all fans of J-pop to attend a TMR gig at least once~
