The finals of the 2012 Gunpla Builders World Cup will take place in December at the Gundam Front Tokyo mini-theme park, in Tokyo’s Odaiba Aqua City Diver. This is the second year the Gunpla Builders World Cup will be held, and the first time in Japan. The Philippine Regional Finals is slated from the 11th until the 13th of October 2012, with the exhibition to be hosted by the Robinsons Magnolia Mall in Quezon City.

Junior Category: 14 yrs old and below (born on or after 1 January 1998)

New Challenger Open Category: 15 yrs old and above (born on or before 31 December 1997) and have never joined any of the previous Gundam Model Kit Contests

New Challenger Junior Category: 14 yrs old and below (born on or after 1 January 1998) and have never joined any of the previous Gundam Model Kit Contests

Gundam Age Category: 15 yrs old and above (born on or before 31 December 1997) and will use only Gundam Age kits

1/100 Scale Category: 15 yrs old and above(born on or before 31 December 1997) and will use only 1/100 scale kits out-of-box

Rules

Participants must be able to paint, remodel, modify, or create a diorama using official Bandai Gundam model kits including SD/BB. All participants may submit their entry either in Diorama (except for the 1/100 Scale category) or Solid Model Kit form. The maximum size for entries is L50cm X W50cm X D50cm.

The competition is open to all modelers, including previous winners. However, participants are only allowed to join one category, with a maximum of three entries.

Participants should submit their entry for exhibit on 11 and 12 October 2012 (from 11AM to 8PM) and 13 October 2012 (from 11AM to 12NN) at the Main Atrium of the Robinsons Magnolia Mall, Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City.

Participants are required to present original Gundam kit boxes and receipts of Gundam model kit and decals (if any) from Toys “R” Us and/or Toybox stores nationwide for authentication purposes. 1/100 scale category participants must bring also the original instruction manual.
