First spotted in the flesh at AFA 2011 (where we fought a hard, hard battle resisting them), the Nendoroid Tachikoma has a new Cheerful JAPAN! version, with preorders starting on 10th February 2012 all the way up to the 27th.

Along with all the optional parts from the original version, this Cheerful JAPAN! version comes with special parts to — what else? — cheer Japan on to recovery from the devastation of the Great East Japan Earthquake. These special parts are an Old Japan-style banner, a Japanese folding fan, and pompoms.

The Nendoroid Tachikoma: Cheerful Japan Version is available only via pre-order from the Good Smile Company online shop. They will retail for JPY 4000 each, with shipping to the Philippines at JPY 2000. A maximum of five orders per person will be accepted. The figures will be shipped out from June 2012.

With each purchase, GSC will donate JPY 1500 to disaster recovery efforts.
