The Japan Foundation Manila is inviting Japanese language enthusiasts to participate in the 39th Nihongo Speech Contest. The event is slated for 25th February 2012, with the venue to be announced later. The event will be held alongside the Nihongo Quiz Bee, and toogether they make up the JFM’s premiere event, Nihongo Fiesta.

The Grand Champion and the Outstanding Performance Awardee will each receive an all-expense-paid week-long study tour in Japan.

Entries are accepted until 25th January 2012 at the Japan Foundation Manila, 11F Pacific Star Building, Gil Puyat corner Makati Avenue, Makati City. Submit an accomplished entry form, a printed copy of your speech, and a CD recording of your speech (maximum time is five minutes).

A screening will be held on 4th February to select the finalists, who will go on to the main competition on the 25th. For more details on the competition, visit the official website at jfmo.org.ph.
