Just when I thought winning the Animax Asia Last Exile Review Contest and a special citation from the Akegarasu Haya Prize Essay Contest was enough to make my year, I get an email from the organizing team saying that magnetic-rose.net is once again a Finalist to the Philippine Blog Awards for 2011, likewise under the Culture & Arts Category.
The last time we made it this far, we went all the way and took home the Philippine Blog Awards for the Culture & Arts Category, back in 2009.
I am very thankful for the recognition not just from our comrades in the anime, manga, gaming, j-pop, and cosplay communities in the Philippines, South East Asia, and Japan, but also from the mainstream blogging community in the Philippines, who find the blog and the work we put into it as worthy of accolade (the same way they lauded other Philippine cosplay talents such as Jin Joson at the recently-concluded T@ttoo Awards for Social Media).
I’d like to extend my congratulations to friends and fellow nominees: Kaoko of Kitchen Cow in the Food and Beverage Category, and Gzep of The Lost Level for the Podcast Category.
