The Baguio Regionals of the Cosplay Tournament of Champions II took place this weekend at SM City Baguio, with the winner booking a spot for their team to the Grand Finals at Cosplay Mania 11. Cosplay Mania 11 will be held on the 2nd October 2011 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

With five teams vying for one of eight coveted slots, one team emerged victorious with their intricate costumes and polished onstage performance. Team .//hack/G.U. — cosplayers who go by the stage names Shun Akirius and Kagura Ryuji, were crowned representatives for Baguio.

Aside from the trip to Manila to compete at the finals, the winners also took home mobile phones and printers courtesy of event sponsors my|Phone and Brother.

As the winners of the Baguio leg, the .//hack team is likewise one step away from being the official Philippine representatives to the Regional Cosplay Championships at Anime Festival Asia 11. AFA 11 will be held from the 11th to the 13th of November 2011 in Singapore.

The next regional finals are slated for Cagayan de Oro on 16th July 2011. Congratulations again the Baguio winners, and good luck to all the competitors of the upcoming legs.
