Avid toy collector and blogger Xine of Toypusher (featured in one of our previous guests posts) is organizing a toy drive and outreach programme for street kids.

With the programme, she aims to raise around USD 500 in cash for monetary donations, plus boxes of toys, school supplies, and toiletries for the children of the Virlanie Foundation, Inc.

Virlanie Foundation, Inc. runs a shelter for abandoned, neglected, or orphaned children. The group Xine aims to help is made up of about fifty children aged three to twelve; the programme will purchase educational toys, school supplies, and basic toiletries and medicines.

Donations are still being accepted via PayPal or bank deposit; just contact Xine at her blog for details. Or better yet — you can take part in the distribution of the donated items at Virlanie Foundation, and spend a bit of time comforting and caring for these children in need.

As if helping people wasn’t reason enough to take part in the project, Toypusher also be giving away a Nendoroid Snow Miku figure and a Figma Black Rock Shooter figure to the two highest contributors and/or solicitors for the project!
