Sketchpad Manila in partnership with COSPLAY.PH is proud to bring you the 2010 Metro Comic Con! 2010 MCC will be held on the 21st and 22nd of August 2009 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls.

The Metro Comic Con is just in its second year, after a successful and controversial launch in 2009 (one of the biggest controversies involved the change of name from Manila Comic Con to Metro Comic Con). However, it has proven to be a hit with local comic book fans, and is currently one of just two large comic related events in the convention circuit.

Aside from their exclusive line-up of comic book workshops, art exhibits, indie comic booths, and special sessions with guest artists, Metro Comic Con is once again bringing back the MCC Cosplay Competition!

The MCC Cosplay Competition is an Open Category event, where costumes from anime, manga, games, comics, movies, western animation, and Visual Kei and Harajuku fashion are welcome to compete. Participants will be vying for the following categories:

• Best Pinoy Comic Character
• Best Western Comic/Cartoon Character
• Best Anime/Manga Character
• Best Mecha Character
• Best Game (Western/Japanese) Character
• Best Chibi Cosplay (for children 12 years old and below)
• Best Group Cosplay
