Sulyap is an annual Japanese short film competition, organized by UP Tomo-Kai since 2007. On its first year, teams of students from UP Diliman submitted entries — mostly comedies, with the winner being a parody of Hana yori Dango. Sulyap 2, with the theme “Rice”, brought forth a serious and moving winner revolving around the rice crisis.

Continuing UP Tomo-Kai’s objectives of bilateral awareness and friendship, and its our pursuit of environmental responsibility, the theme for the 2010 film fest is “Environmental Awareness”. The screening of this year’s film entries and the awarding of winners will be held on 13th March 2010 from 1:00 PM at UP Diliman’s Romulo Hall (Asian Center). Admission is free.
