After the success of their first collaboration, Danny Choo and Kotobukiya are delighted to announce a new joint project: OTACOOL 2.

Just like the first OTACOOL, the new book will feature submissions from anime fans from all over the world — this time of their very best cosplay photos.

Submissions are now being accepted via the new OTACOOL website as of this Saturday. Submission requirements are as follows:

Hi-res Cosplay Photos*
     • full body
     • upper body
     • head shots

*At least two of each — 3MB at most, with no marks whatsoever please!

Do NOT forget to tag them as “otacool, otacool2, otacoolcosplay” before hitting the Submit button to make sure they are sent correctly.

Kotobukiya is also accepting illustration submissions for the new OTACOOL mascot! If you are an illustrator willing to work on a tight deadline, simply design a character that you think represents the OTACOOL project and send it to the new OTACOOL website.

Please include a good quality version of your work, your name and screen name, age, home country, personal website link, and a brief introduction of yourself. Do not forget to tag your entries “otacool, otacool2, otacoolmascot” before hitting the Submit button to make sure your entry goes through.

Applicants must note that by participating with the project, Kotobukiya is granted permission to use, copy, modify and make available all submissions to the public for purposes, such as, but not limited to, publication, press and media communications.

Submitted photos, illustrations, or information will become the property of Kotobukiya, and Kotobukiya shall have no obligation to preserve, return or otherwise make available any photos, illustrations or information so submitted.
