We’ve got great news for prospective contestants to the Regional Cosplay Championships at Anime Festival Asia 09!

To assist contestants who have had some difficulty submitting their entries via FIGURE.FM, you may now e-mail your applications directly to AFA 09 at songwen[at]sozo[dot]sg. Online registration will close on 8th October 2009 at 12:00 Midnight Japan / 11:00 PM Philippines. Please make sure you submit your entries before the deadline!

Official finalists selected to represent the Philippines and other South East Asian nations will have their flights and accommodations covered by the AFA 09 Cosplay Committee! There will be only one pair of Finalists from each country, with the exception of the host city Singapore (which will have two sets of Finalists); all Finalists will compete head-to-head at AFA 09.

The winner of the first ever AFA 09 Regional Cosplay Championships will be receiving one pair of airline tickets to Tokyo, Japan! More prizes for the winning pair are also on the way so please stay tuned for updates.

AFA09 will be held on the 21st and 22nd of November at Singapore’s Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Halls 403 – 404). This year’s Special Guests include Shokotan, MAY’N, Mizuki Ichiro, Fukuyama Yoshiki, Kaname, and Danny Choo.
