Cosplay Mania 2011 ups the ante on Philippine cosplay one notch further with TOrCH II: The Cosplay Tournament of Champions.

Cosplayers from major cities all over the country will battle it out for the supreme honor of representing the Philippines at Anime Festival Asia’s Regional Cosplay Championships 2011 (AFA 2011 dates and venue to be announced very soon).

Pairs of cosplayers aged eighteen and above performing as characters from Japanese media properties such as anime, tokusatsu, video games, movies or comic books are invited to join. Contestants must possess a valid Philippine passport. Contestants in the regional legs will be judged on: 1) Performance (40%); 2) Craftsmanship (45%); and 3) Overall Impact (15%).

Winners of regional rounds will be invited to the Grand Finals at Cosplay Mania 2011 to be held at the SM Mall of Asia on 2nd October 2011. Round trip air or bus fares and hotel accommodations will be provided for the regional winners competing at the main event. They will also take home a pair of My|Phone T23 Duo mobile phones.
